Camarones or Cariden is tiny tiny shrimp served as pictured.
If you have the patience to peel these tiny crustaceans, you’ll appreciate the sweetness that you won’t find on larger ones.

Iberian ham is a classic in Spain and in Portugal. You can find them in most Spanish restaurants. What makes these so special here at Meson Castellano is not only the high quality but a master shaver who carves it so perfectly thin. If you don’t like cured ham, try their beef version (cecina). We liked the unexpected sweetness unlike slight saltiness of other cheaper Iberian hams.
Hearts of Lettuce Salad-
We order this almost all the time as our starter to share. Beautifully presented are fresh hearts of lettuce with 2pcs of smoked salmon, 2pc of cod, 2pc of anchovies and fresh tuna in the middle. Tomatoes, red onions, and olives are served to round off a great starting dish.
It’s a perfect accompaniment to our steaks.
Stuffed with Lamb-
Excellent sauce along with very tender lamb meat inside the sweet red pepper.
Highly recommend if you get the chance!
An excellent Roasted Leg of Lamb is lightly seasoned with herbs
Perfectly Grilled Lamb cutlets were so tender. Seasoned with salt only, I ended up eating with my fingers so as not to leave anything on the bones.
Though this grilled Turbot was cooked to perfection, it was not the fish I like for me. Overall taste was rather bland like it was missing something.
Can you see those grill marks? Ask however you want them cooked and Meson Castellano will get it just right.
These filet mignons literally melt in your mouth!

Last year, Meson Castellano brought these mouth-watering seared steaks with table-side burners but this year, they replaced the burners with hot plates.
